Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanic to join our facilities team at Marriott International in Sweimeh, Jordan. The role involves maintaining a fleet of property vehicles and ensuring all tools and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts, including oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, cleaning, lubricating and inspecting for wear.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of operations, maintenance activities, test results and any equipment malfunctions.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning items as needed.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
• Support team communication, handle telephone inquiries professionally and uphold confidentiality of company information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience maintaining vehicles or similar equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
