Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Supervisor leads the mechanical maintenance team in a hotel or resort, ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely. This role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with planning preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and schedule a team of mechanical technicians, prioritising urgent repairs and routine maintenance.
• Develop and execute a preventive maintenance programme for HVAC, pumps, compressors, motors and other mechanical assets.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnose faults, and oversee complex repairs on equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, elevators and other machinery.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards and local codes.
• Manage inventory of mechanical parts, coordinate purchases and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Prepare and submit reports on system status, ongoing projects and budgetary expenditures.
