National Project Officer – Democratic Reform Programme

About the role

Expertise France is seeking a National Project Officer to support the EU‑Jordan Democratic Institutions and Development (EU‑JDID) programme. The role focuses on strengthening democratic reforms in Jordan by promoting inclusive political participation and enhancing the capacity of political institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate meaningful participation of young men and women in democratic life.
• Support political parties in creating an enabling environment for diverse groups and responsive decision‑making.
• Assist the House of Representatives to improve professionalism, effectiveness, inclusivity and accountability.
• Coordinate media outputs that promote civic and political participation.
• Enhance the capacity of political parties and relevant institutions (MoPPA, IEC) to oversee party registration, finance and programme development.

Required profile

• Experience in democratic governance, political reform or civil society engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to work with youth and gender‑focused initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Jordanian political context and EU‑Jordan cooperation frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
