Network Administrator II

About the role

V2X is seeking a Network Administrator II to lead a team responsible for maintaining and evolving LAN/WAN, wireless, and VoIP infrastructures for military and civilian customers. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, network security enforcement, and coordination with NOC leadership to ensure optimal network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of VoIP phones, switches, wired and wireless routers, and encryption devices.
• Monitor availability and reliability of LAN/WAN and wireless networks, reporting outages and corrective actions to the NOC service desk.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including firewalls, wireless access points, HAIPE encryption devices, and Cisco IOS‑based equipment.
• Configure VLANs, ACLs, and enforce DISA STIG compliance and other security procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to subordinate Network Administrators and NOC sites, including disaster‑recovery operations and data backups.
• Plan network development and expansion, and train new NA I personnel.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN troubleshooting and network architecture.
• Experience supervising junior network staff and coordinating with NOC leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain host‑nation visa and driver’s license where required.
