Network and Computer Systems Administrator

About the role

GovCIO is seeking a senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support Special Operations communications. The position is onsite in either Singapore or Jordan and involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network and system architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Gather technical information on GovCIO products and competing solutions, generating quantifiable requirements.
• Translate high‑level product strategies into detailed network and system specifications.
• Develop and enforce standards, practices, and procedures for network and system development.
• Design, document, and test logical and physical network architectures, including WAN/LAN layouts.
• Implement QoS for voice, video, and data environments and use performance‑management tools to troubleshoot issues.
• Provide operational support for WAN/LAN technologies, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
• Collaborate with DoD customers to fill information gaps and communicate technical solutions.
• Support hardware and software acquisition and develop detailed designs for Gigabit Ethernet, EIGRP, BGPv4, QoS, DMVPN, IPv4, and multicast.

Required profile

• High school diploma with 6‑9 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ Plus certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Proven senior‑level experience with Cisco routing and switching, LAN/WAN, and network security.
