OSP Network Designer

About the role

The OSP Network Designer will be based in Damascus, Syria, and will be responsible for designing and validating all outside‑plant (OSP) civil and fiber‑optic infrastructure. The role supports the company’s telecom projects by ensuring designs meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and update design surveys using ENE/GIS PD validation tools.
• Review site survey reports for civil and fiber infrastructure and verify documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve survey discrepancies and update network inventory.
• Develop civil and fiber‑optic network designs, layout plans, engineering drawings, and route designs.
• Prepare and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and schematic designs for Fiber Junction Stations.
• Upload and maintain design documents and approvals within the ISOW platform.
• Collect, validate, and document As‑Built data and redline drawings after construction.
• Support quality‑assurance reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives for OSP design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of telecom experience, including at least 5 years in OSP design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of OSP civil works, fiber network infrastructure, and telecom deployment processes.
• Hands‑on experience with market‑leading design and validation tools.
