About the role

The Painter role is a full‑time position within the engineering and facilities team, responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment at a hospitality property in Aqaba, Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, air‑conditioning filters, and perform basic equipment clean‑up.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical‑room equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair plumbing (toilet plunging, drain unclogging) and electrical components (lamps, switches, outlets).
• Program televisions, manage inventory, and use the lockout/tagout system before work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies.
• Clear communication skills and teamwork orientation.
