Presser Specialist

About the role

The Presser Specialist ensures that all laundry and dry‑cleaning items are processed efficiently and to Marriott’s high quality standards. Working in a fast‑paced hotel environment, you will handle the full cycle of washing, pressing, and finishing garments and linens.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or carts.
• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines according to company procedures.
• Apply appropriate stain treatments based on fabric type.
• Maintain accurate records of loads, weight and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Transport washed items to dryers and load them correctly.
• Clean lint screens, filters and drain traps after each load.
• Monitor chemical levels and report any equipment issues.
• Follow safety, security and housekeeping policies.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or GED required.
• No prior laundry experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lb and navigate confined spaces.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional appearance.
