Principal Engineer - Civil and Roads

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is hiring a Principal Engineer - Civil and Roads within its Infrastructure practice. You will lead high-profile projects, ensure technical excellence, build strong client relationships, give strategic direction, mentor junior engineers and help deliver complex infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of civil and road works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary contact for major projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and foster a collaborative, high-performance team.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings and documentation.
• Manage project resources and schedules to ensure optimal use and financial performance.
• Report regularly on project status, technical performance and team development to senior management.
• Prepare reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Design using Civil 3D software in a BIM environment.
• Assist in managing infrastructure projects, supporting senior engineers and project leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in civil and road design, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and commitment to continuous improvement.
