Procurement Specialist

About the role

BSS, a broadcast and media technology systems integrator with more than 25 years of experience serving broadcasters, media organizations, production companies and government entities across the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a Procurement Specialist in Amman, Jordan. This is a full-time, on-site position managing the end-to-end procurement of equipment and services, working closely with sales, engineering, project management, logistics, finance and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, issue and track purchase orders.
• Obtain quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with international manufacturers, distributors and suppliers, and monitor supplier lead times and follow up on deliveries.
• Work with logistics and finance teams on shipments, documentation and payments.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records in the ERP system.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing terms.
• Support project teams with procurement status and resolve supplier-related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or vendor management.
• Experience in broadcast, professional AV, IT, telecommunications, electronics or technology is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Good understanding of purchase orders, quotations, pricing, payment terms and delivery conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is preferred.
