Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Nortal is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our teams in Jordan or Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of a variety of applications, including backend, frontend, web, and mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform testing of backend, frontend, web and mobile applications.
• Design, execute and maintain test cases, test plans and test scenarios.
• Conduct manual testing as the primary focus, with optional support for automated testing.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, user‑acceptance, performance and stress testing.
• Participate in test planning, defect tracking and reporting throughout the QA lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams, including globally distributed environments.
• Document test activities and manage the defect lifecycle.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of hands‑on experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong expertise in manual testing.
• Good understanding of business‑driven, risk‑based and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Experience with test planning, case design, execution and reporting.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and QA documentation processes.
• Fluent English communication skills.
