Quality Team Lead - Digital Banking QA

About the role

Aspire is looking for a Quality Team Lead in Amman to own end-to-end QA across its digital banking channels. The role covers testing across multiple release cycles, with strong leadership, technical expertise in banking system testing and clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define test strategy, scope and approach for each release cycle, estimate effort and timelines, and ensure functional, regression and integration testing coverage.
• Lead and manage the testing team, assign tasks, monitor daily progress and mentor junior testers.
• Coordinate testing for each release and drop, prepare test cases, test data and environments, and manage retesting and regression.
• Oversee defect triage, prioritization and lifecycle management, and track defect trends and quality metrics.
• Act as the main QA contact for Product Owners, development and integration teams, and give daily and weekly status reports.
• Validate integrations with Core Banking systems (Equation), card systems (HPS PowerCARD) and external systems (SWIFT, Loyalty, Brokerage).
• Enforce QA best practices, improve test coverage and introduce automation and optimization where applicable.

Required profile

• Strong experience in banking application testing and proven experience leading QA teams.
• Experience with digital banking platforms on Web, iOS and Android, and in Agile delivery environments.
• Testing of customer access and security (authentication, device binding, MFA), payments and transfers, card management, loyalty, and profile features.
• Awareness of IT security best practices (ISO/SOC or similar).

• Functional, regression and integration testing; test planning, strategy and release management.
