Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies. This full‑time position ensures a safe environment while maintaining professional service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, defuse disturbances, and escort unwelcome persons.
• Complete incident reports, loss‑prevention shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions, and ensure uniform appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear vision for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency for entering and locating work‑related information.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly, including running or jogging when needed.
• Willingness to obtain any required licensing or registration specific to the region.
