Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, its guests, and employees by maintaining a safe environment, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Assist guests with room access and provide support to individuals with disabilities.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and resolve safety hazards.
• Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR, and coordinate EMS when needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for outside assistance using proper codes.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and loss‑prevention activity logs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security reports and property information.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions, and ensure professional appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear visual acuity for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
• Capability to respond quickly, run or jog when required.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Any required licensing or registration as mandated by local regulations.
