Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the integration of accounting, sales and inventory data within our ERP environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting for a leading FMCG distributor in Jordan. The role supports both finance and commercial teams, driving data‑driven insights and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting, sales and inventory data across ERP systems, guaranteeing compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare, analyse and maintain advanced financial and sales reports using Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF formulas, dashboards, data validation).
• Oversee invoice processing, accounts receivable/payable follow‑ups, reconciliations and month‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on order management, pricing, distributor relations and customer account issues.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for management.
• Ensure consistency between accounting records, inventory movements and sales transactions.
• Maintain filing systems for contracts, invoices and supporting documents.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders in Arabic and English.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement automation using ERP, Excel and AI‑powered tools.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross‑functional finance and sales projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting, finance, sales operations or commercial administration.
• Proximity to our Al Bayader office.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, dashboards, data analysis).
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Extensive experience with ERP systems and accounting processes.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools for automation and reporting.
