Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Jordan

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Jordan. In this role you will work with a diverse set of clients, applying rigorous audit methodologies and delivering high‑quality assurance services that build trust and credibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services while considering regulatory impact and risk management.
• Analyse key industry statistics and entity information before engagements begin.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, clearly defining audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate risks, controls, procedures, and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and contribute to overall audit quality.
• Challenge audit plan timings and propose efficiencies where appropriate.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit and assurance engagements, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and business processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with global teams and manage multiple deliverables.
