Senior Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Finance

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics for its finance function. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, caring, and teamwork, developing models that improve forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine‑learning models for financial forecasting, anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• Integrate large datasets from SAP ECC, ERP systems and external sources into Azure Databricks for analysis.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting and business teams to translate challenges into data‑driven solutions.
• Build and optimise data pipelines for model training, validation and production deployment.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4‑7 years of professional experience in data science and machine learning, preferably within a finance environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• Databricks and Azure Databricks for large‑scale data processing and model deployment.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• Big‑data frameworks such as PySpark.
• ETL/ELT processes handling structured and unstructured data.
• Data‑visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with LLMs, NLP and automation tools like Selenium.
