Senior Full Stack Engineer (6‑month consultancy)

About the role

We are looking for a senior full‑stack engineer on a 6‑month consultancy agreement to design and build both the front‑end and back‑end of our web platforms. Working closely with the product team, you will create responsive, accessible user interfaces and robust, scalable backend services that handle large data sets and real‑time streaming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using React, TypeScript and Vite.js on the front‑end.
• Build server‑side services with Node.js and TypeScript, exposing RESTful APIs.
• Design data‑processing pipelines and APIs capable of handling large datasets efficiently.
• Implement streaming solutions for large language model (LLM) interactions and real‑time visualisation.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners and other engineers to prototype and refine interfaces.
• Define and maintain scalable architecture across the full stack.
• Work with infrastructure teams on deployment, scaling, database optimisation and API performance tuning.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests using Playwright and Jest.
• Document code, processes and architectural decisions and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a full‑stack engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript, including responsive design, accessibility and asynchronous programming.
• Proven experience with React, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with large‑scale data visualisation.
