Senior People & Culture Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior People & Culture Manager to lead the People & Culture function for its Jordan Country Program. This senior position will ensure that talent, systems, and resources are aligned with country objectives and that high‑quality HR services support both staff and the communities served.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the People & Culture function, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and volunteer management.
• Ensure HR processes are efficient, effective, and delivered to a high standard across the country program.
• Drive organizational performance by strengthening people‑related operations and supporting strategic objectives.
• Participate as a member of the Jordan Senior Management Team, providing HR insight to senior leadership.
• Report directly to the Jordan Country Director and the Regional People & Culture Director.

Required profile

• Senior‑level HR professional with proven experience managing core HR functions in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, onboarding, compliance, and volunteer management.
• Experience working in humanitarian or non‑profit settings is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a solutions‑driven mindset.
