Senior Python Back‑End Engineer

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a Senior Back‑end Developer with strong Python expertise to help build and enhance its online trading platforms. You will work with a multinational team to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable services for a fast‑growing fintech business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and implement new features and products.
• Develop solutions that meet defined business requirements and write technical specifications.
• Present implementations to senior leadership, including the CTO.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and propose refactoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, and quality‑assurance principles.
• Experience with SDLC, service‑oriented architecture, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka), microservices, containerisation, and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of web security standards and best practices.
