Senior R&D Formulator

About the role

This senior position is part of the Veterinary Research and Development team at Chanelle Pharma. You will drive formulation development, scale‑up, and technology transfer for a range of pharmaceutical dosage forms, ensuring successful commercial manufacture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead formulation development and scale‑up for solid, semi‑solid, and liquid dosage forms (sterile and non‑sterile).
• Optimise and oversee manufacturing equipment setup and operation for efficient pilot‑scale execution.
• Plan, execute, and critically assess formulation trials with robust documentation.
• Drive technology transfer activities, including process optimisation and cross‑functional troubleshooting.
• Prepare, review, and approve scientific documentation such as batch records, protocols, technical reports, and validation materials.
• Act as technical liaison with Production, Planning, Validation, Procurement, and Engineering to resolve challenges and maintain timelines.
• Support regulatory submissions and respond to authority queries with scientifically sound documentation.
• Champion GMP, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within R&D.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
• Significant experience in formulation development within a GMP manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Strong working knowledge of oral solid and/or liquid dosage manufacturing processes.
• Deep understanding of GMP and regulatory expectations.
