Senior Software Engineer, Browser Session Capture and Replay (AI Agents)

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer to build a system that records how a user interacts with a web application and replays it exactly, enabling AI agents to learn tasks from demonstrations. The work is greenfield, remote, and part of a new product organisation within a semi‑government entity in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Build end‑to‑end browser session recordings, capturing page content, network traffic, screen images, clicks, keystrokes and timing on a single timeline across tabs and embedded frames.
• Implement a deterministic replay engine that compares the replay to the original recording and highlights any divergences.
• Remove sensitive data from recordings according to written rules while preserving replay fidelity.
• Transform recordings into versioned formats that AI agents can consume for learning and testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software development experience with strong TypeScript skills.
• Deep knowledge of Chrome DevTools Protocol and internal workings of Playwright or Puppeteer.
• Hands‑on experience building or maintaining recording/replay or trace tools (e.g., rrweb, Playwright tracing, Chrome DevTools Protocol screen capture).
• Experience handling network archives (HAR, WARC, WACZ), token management, timestamps, and session expiration, including sensitive‑data sanitisation.
