Senior Sourcing Merchandiser – Regional Operations

About the role

The Senior Sourcing Merchandiser (Regional Operations) will lead vendor development and production activities across the region, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards for Gap Inc.’s brands. This role partners with technical, quality, and raw materials teams to drive efficient, lean manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Train vendors on capacity planning using SAM and monitor capacity regularly.
• Support and drive lean initiatives, including workflow optimization and line layout improvements.
• Establish efficiency baselines and guide vendors toward long‑term strategic targets.
• Collaborate with Technical, PQA, and Raw Materials teams to meet commercial decisions and standards.
• Manage bulk production tracking to meet timelines and proactively flag high‑risk orders.
• Provide recommendations on claim settlements and resolve fabric or quality issues promptly.
• Review and evaluate vendor performance continuously.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production management systems.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and industrial engineering concepts.
• Proactive problem‑solver capable of handling multiple challenges simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration skills in a matrix environment with cultural sensitivity.
• Demonstrated personal leadership and executive presence.
