SME Relationship Manager

About the role

The SME Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with small‑and‑medium‑enterprise clients, driving growth of credit and deposit portfolios, and promoting the bank’s full suite of products and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage existing SME relationships and acquire new SME clients.
• Identify client needs, propose appropriate credit facilities, and coordinate up‑selling and cross‑selling with other business units.
• Implement marketing strategies for the SME segment and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct field visits, collect documentation, and prepare credit reports.
• Review and recommend credit requests, oversee line‑of‑credit renewals, and monitor portfolio performance.
• Handle client complaints, ensure timely service recovery, and liaise with internal teams to maintain high service levels.

Required profile

• University degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SME or corporate banking experience in a leading international or regional bank.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of banking products, lending practices, and financial statements.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and meet sales targets.
