Software Development Manager

About the role

A leading global technology company is hiring, through MENA Alliances, an experienced Software Development Manager to lead engineering efforts on high-impact international expansion initiatives. The role involves complex technical challenges with a dynamic, fast-paced global team, helping shape the future of digital commerce in new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and define the team's long-term technical strategy and architecture.
• Own major deliverables end-to-end, driving the software development life cycle from planning through deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers to create strategic roadmaps that deliver customer value.
• Work closely with senior engineers to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Enforce engineering best practices across design, documentation, development, testing and operations.
• Manage project planning, prioritization and stakeholder alignment.
• Maintain operational excellence in production environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within an agile team setup.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including full ownership of system development.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• 2+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Solid understanding of the full software/hardware/network lifecycle, including version control, code reviews, CI/CD and production monitoring.
• Experience working closely with product and program management teams.
