Sommelier Wine Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Sommelier Wine Specialist to join our luxury hospitality team. The successful candidate will deliver professional, personalized wine recommendations, pairing suggestions and impeccable service to guests across our premium hotel and restaurant venues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert wine recommendations, pairing advice and beverage guidance to guests.
• Perform wine service to five‑star standards, including proper presentation, opening and pouring techniques.
• Support the management, organization and maintenance of the wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions and stock rotation.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, breakages and quality issues.
• Assist in developing, updating and presenting the wine list in line with the restaurant’s concept.
• Collaborate with the kitchen brigade to ensure harmonious food‑and‑wine pairings.
• Train service staff on wine knowledge, service techniques and upselling.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and F&B service standards.
• Help control beverage costs, minimize waste and support revenue optimisation.
• Manage guest preferences, special requests and VIP experiences with discretion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fine‑dining or luxury hotel wine service.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varieties and storage practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with kitchen teams.
• Professional demeanor, attention to detail and discretion with high‑profile guests.
