Spa Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Spa Therapist to join our Marriott spa in Amman. You will deliver a range of massage and body treatments, ensuring each guest enjoys a safe, relaxing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and check for contraindications before each service.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation and treatment room.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and ensure their comfort throughout the session.
• Promote and sell spa services and retail products.
• Monitor treatment times and adhere to the daily schedule.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott policies.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least one year of relevant spa or massage experience.
• State or regional massage license.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lb.

Required skills

• Massage therapy techniques.
• Body treatment methods (scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy).
• Sanitation and sterilization procedures.
• Knowledge of contraindications such as allergies, hypertension and pregnancy.
