System Administrator Tier II

About the role

C3EL is seeking a System Administrator Tier II to provide advanced administration, troubleshooting, and support for enterprise‑level systems and networks at the Joint Training Center in Jordan. You will ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure while maintaining compliance with DoD standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier II system administration support and resolve escalated issues from Tier I.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability to keep mission‑critical services operational.
• Apply security patches, configuration changes, and updates in line with DoD compliance.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies.
• Perform routine server backups, disaster‑recovery procedures, and system restores.
• Support configuration and deployment of servers, storage systems, and enterprise applications.
• Enforce best‑practice standards across systems and networks.
• Collaborate with network, security, and help‑desk teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship.
• One of the following certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years related experience (including 2 years in a military environment) OR Associate’s degree plus 7 years specialized experience OR 11 years total specialized experience.
• Knowledge of vendor security‑patch updates, storage technologies (SAN/NAS), server performance tuning, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Strong network‑troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.
