System Administrator Tier II

About the role

The System Administrator Tier II will support and operate critical computer systems and networks for a U.S. government contractor. This position requires strong technical expertise, security awareness, and the ability to produce clear documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Review, test, and deploy vendor security patches and updates.
• Manage storage technologies such as SAN and NAS.
• Perform server performance tuning and use monitoring tools.
• Configure and manage servers using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Troubleshoot network issues and document technical procedures.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and U.S. citizenship.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a military environment.
• One or more certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for mission support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management or equivalent experience.
