Team Leader – Protection Component (Jordan)

About the role

Pathfinder International is seeking a Team Leader to provide strategic leadership for the Protection Component of the Jordan Humanitarian and Systems Strengthening Project (JHASS). The role will guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑impact interventions in gender‑based violence, child protection, social cohesion and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision for the Protection Component, ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain the project strategic plan, updating it to reflect international priorities and programmatic directions.
• Oversee scope, resource allocation, timelines and budgets for all protection activities.
• Foster strong partnerships with the FCDO, government agencies, development partners and civil‑society organizations.
• Coordinate matrix teams, promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the project.
• Inspire and motivate staff to meet performance objectives efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading humanitarian or development projects focused on GBV, child protection, or social cohesion.
• Strong ability to navigate complex environments and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver results under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
