Trading Platform Engineer

About the role

Equiti is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer to join its Platforms Team in Amman. The engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and optimizing the company’s MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading infrastructure, ensuring high availability and low‑latency execution in a 24/5 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and tune MT4/MT5 servers, gateways and plugins to deliver fast, reliable trade execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MT4/MT5, FIX API, MANAPI and liquidity bridges such as OneZero, PrimeXM and FX Cubic.
• Develop and maintain custom plugins, bridges and APIs that integrate MT4/MT5 with internal and third‑party systems.
• Implement monitoring, observability and proactive incident detection tools for production and staging environments.
• Apply security patches, updates and best‑practice controls to protect client data and platform integrity.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 support, analyse incident reports and work with traders, operations and IT to continuously improve execution quality.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Experience in a fast‑paced trading or fintech environment, preferably with 24/5 operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative attitude toward cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) administration.
• FIX API and MANAPI integration.
• Liquidity bridge technologies (OneZero, PrimeXM, FX Cubic).
• CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines.
• Monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Security patching and compliance best practices.
