Vulnerability Analyst I

About the role

As a Vulnerability Analyst I you will work on the Department of Defense (DoD) network, conducting comprehensive security assessments to protect sensitive information and systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments and audits of DoD SWA network components.
• Develop and execute action plans to address common vulnerabilities and exposures.
• Create and maintain report templates for daily distribution, targeting a minimum 95% vulnerability compliance rating.
• Monitor Information Assurance Security Alerts & Bulletins and coordinate rapid response to incidents.
• Coordinate with IDS/IPS and ArcSight teams to detect exploitation attempts, including zero‑day threats.
• Recommend improvements to the overall cybersecurity posture and communicate findings to senior military personnel.
• Maintain expertise in vulnerability management tools such as Tenable and Nessus.
• Provide technical and operational support to end‑users of the DoD information network.

Required profile

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Ability to work effectively with military and senior management stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Commitment to uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
