WebMethods API Developer

About the role

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as a webMethods API Developer, with expertise in API development, integration and management. The role covers building reliable integration services, managing API configurations and implementing security and fault-tolerance mechanisms. The position is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise APIs and integration services using webMethods Flow language and established best practices.
• Manage day-to-day operations of webMethods Integration Server, including service configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Configure, expose, deploy and manage APIs through the webMethods API Gateway.
• Implement JMS-based messaging using Publish/Subscribe and Producer/Consumer patterns.
• Manage Terracotta caching, including reading, updating and deleting cached data.
• Implement threading and asynchronous processing in Flow services, and circuit breakers, retry mechanisms and error handling.
• Monitor API activity, analyse performance and usage metrics, and configure gateway policies.
• Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and manage SSL certificates, PFX files and related security settings.
• Investigate and resolve API integration issues while keeping performance, availability and security intact.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in webMethods development and API integration.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to work onsite.
