WordPress Developer – Frontend & Backend (WooCommerce)

About the role

Denamica is looking for a WordPress Developer to join its global IT consultancy team. You will work on client projects, building and maintaining WordPress and WooCommerce sites while receiving mentorship from senior developers. The role combines front‑end and back‑end development in a fast‑moving, multi‑regional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather requirements and discuss website design and functionality.
• Design and develop the front‑end of WordPress sites, including custom themes and responsive layouts.
• Architect and manage back‑end components, databases, and server integrations.
• Create, customize, and maintain WordPress plugins and themes.
• Conduct performance testing, SEO optimisation, and accessibility checks.
• Troubleshoot content and technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of live sites.
• Integrate and configure plugins, including WooCommerce, to extend site functionality.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing, responsive designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of proven experience in WordPress development or training.
• Experience working on large‑scale WordPress projects.
• Strong understanding of website architecture, aesthetics, and project management.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a client‑facing role.

• WordPress and WooCommerce development.
• PHP, JavaScript, React, CSS, Tailwind CSS.
• Block Editor (Gutenberg) block development.
• Front‑end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
• Version control: Git, Mercurial, SVN.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Accessibility best practices.
• Debugging tools: Chrome DevTools, Firebug.
• Optional: Adobe Creative Suite, web analytics tools.
