Accountant

About the role

Al‑Andalus is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join its finance team in Jabal al Hussein. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and involves managing the core accounting functions that keep the business financially sound.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and annual budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local tax legislation, regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
• Analyse financial data, produce insights and support decision‑making by senior management.
• Assist with internal and external audits and act as the liaison with auditors when required.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as an Accountant; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
