AGE Mechanic I – Deployment Pool (RPA Mx)

About the role

The Deployment Pool AGE Mechanic I provides essential maintenance and support for Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) across CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role involves both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, ensuring that all ground support assets remain serviceable for aircraft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, including fuel, oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air servicing.
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to verify serviceability and proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual inspection, test equipment, and technical publications.
• Disassemble, clean, treat for corrosion, reassemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories.
• Stencil and mark equipment according to technical orders.
• Prepare GSE for storage, mobility, and deployment.
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles.
• Maintain accurate equipment and vehicle records and provide dispatch support for GSE positioning.
• Handle hazardous materials and waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Adhere to safety procedures, tool control, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention at all times.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or completion of relevant military/vocational technical training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical orders, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Flexibility to support varied deployment schedules and locations.
• Commitment to safety and proper documentation practices.
