AI Intern – Artificial Intelligence

About the role

APCO is seeking a curious and analytical AI Intern to join its Amman office. You will support the development, testing, and application of AI‑enabled tools across communications, research, and digital transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and refinement of AI and natural language processing tools for research, analysis, and communications use cases.
• Assist with collecting, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Identify patterns, insights, and opportunities that can inform client work and internal innovation.
• Research emerging AI tools, digital transformation trends, and relevant applications.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, reports, and visual outputs that translate technical insights into clear, practical messages.
• Collaborate with team members to test AI models, evaluate outputs, and document findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by tracking new technologies, tools, and use cases.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and digital transformation.
• Working knowledge of Python; familiarity with common data analysis or machine‑learning libraries is a plus.
• Ability to conduct research, work with data, and communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Curious, proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable experimenting with new tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
