Air Traffic Control Specialist – Liaison (CIC)

About the role

The ATC Specialist, Liaison – CIC is responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly flow of air traffic within the assigned airspace. Working in a control tower or radar environment, the specialist coordinates with controllers, pilots and ground personnel to maintain situational awareness and apply separation rules.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the overall flow of air traffic operations at the assigned facility.
• Apply FAA separation standards and ATC rules to achieve required aircraft separation.
• Relay critical flight and emergency information to relevant controllers and personnel.
• Process flight plans and supervise approach, departure and arrival procedures.
• Oversee vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield when in a tower environment.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• At least eight years of ATC experience, including one year in a comparable facility.
• Hold a valid FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate, FAA/AOV Tower rating, or equivalent; or an ATCS certificate, FAA/AOV Radar rating, or equivalent for radar controllers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II Medical Certificate, US CENTCOM medical exam and a Secret security clearance.
