Assistant Manager/Manager – Audit & Assurance (ARA)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager to join its Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in Jordan. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services, supporting complex accounting projects, and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service, delivering timely, high‑quality work and fostering lasting relationships.
• Conduct in‑depth IFRS research on complex transactions, acquisitions, and abnormal events, and produce robust advisory solutions.
• Lead accounting advisory projects, including financial statement reviews, IFRS impact assessments, and internal‑control design, implementation, testing, and remediation.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to develop account strategies and share insights on client needs and industry trends.
• Apply AI tools in audit contexts, including prompt engineering and responsible AI governance, while exercising professional scepticism.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of public audit and accounting experience, preferably Big Four.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• International accounting qualification desired (CA, ACCA, CPA); CA preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English candidates preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to conduct complex accounting research.
• Experience applying AI in audit contexts, including prompt engineering and responsible AI practices.
• Internal‑control design, implementation, testing, and remediation.
• Report writing for technical accounting advisory engagements.
