Associate Construction Management Engineer

About the role

The Associate Construction Management Engineer will support the planning, execution, and supervision of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical input during design and procurement stages and monitor on‑site construction activities.
• Conduct quality inspections, verify material compliance, and enforce UNOPS health, safety, social and environment (HSSE) standards.
• Review and process Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), variation orders, and cost claims.
• Prepare and deliver regular site progress reports, updates, and documentation of construction milestones.
• Coordinate with end‑users, contractors, consultants, and local authorities, organizing meetings and tracking action items.
• Assist in inspecting works in progress and reporting on quality benchmarks and specifications.

Required profile

• Experience in construction oversight, contractor management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with UNOPS standards and donor/partner compliance requirements.
• Ability to prepare technical and progress reports highlighting achievements, delays, risks, and financial updates.
