Business Excellence Intern (Governance, Risk & Compliance)

About the role

Zain is seeking a fresh graduate to join its Governance, Risk and Compliance department for a one‑year internship under the Zain Youth Program. The intern will support the Business Excellence team in enhancing process efficiency, documenting policies, and contributing to automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and maintenance of business processes across all departments to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop, write, and maintain business policies, procedures, and guideline documents.
• Assist improvement projects by gathering information, identifying pain points, tracking corrective actions, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Participate in automation projects through requirements gathering, solution design modeling, development follow‑up, testing, and validation.
• Research best practices and tools to continuously improve business processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Good time‑management skills to meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Process mapping and documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Data analysis techniques applicable to business processes.
• Documentation and reporting in professional written or electronic formats.
• Understanding of policies and procedures and their operational implications.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for automated workflows.
