Case Manager – National Position

About the role

The Case Manager will work nationally to assess, support and protect vulnerable beneficiaries. This role involves direct field work, psychosocial counseling, and coordination with protection and health teams to ensure comprehensive assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct home visits, needs assessments and baseline surveys to identify protection risks and service needs.
• Provide case management services, including intake, risk classification, psychosocial assessment and development of individualized case plans with informed consent.
• Deliver psychosocial counseling for low‑to‑moderate vulnerability cases and refer high‑risk cases to qualified psychologists.
• Report and follow up on external referrals (medical, legal, etc.) in line with beneficiary consent.
• Collaborate with psychologists and protection coordinators to hold case conferences for complex cases, especially for children.
• Support cash distribution coordination and assist in training, content preparation and capacity‑building on protection topics.
• Prepare activity impact reports and share tools with the MEAL department for monitoring quality and beneficiary participation.
• Maintain weekly communication with the Protection Coordinator and Project Manager and coordinate with HQ and regional technical advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Human Rights, International Development or a related field (Master’s degree is a strong asset).
• Relevant professional training or certification in case management, child protection, GBV, PSEAH, psychosocial support or safeguarding.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in humanitarian, development, protection, social work or community‑based programming.
• Demonstrated experience in protection case management, including intake, assessment, risk classification, planning, referrals and case closure.
