Commis II – Airport Lounge & Transit Hotel

About the role

As a Commis II you will support the kitchen of an airport lounge and transit hotel, preparing and presenting high‑quality dishes in line with company standards. You will work alongside a multicultural team across more than 200 locations worldwide, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping, mixing, marinating and portioning.
• Assist senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Complete mise en place for the assigned section before each service period.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils and equipment.
• Follow HACCP food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Store food items properly, label and rotate stock to minimise waste.
• Support the kitchen team in daily operations and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries to ensure quality and quantity standards.
• Learn new techniques and menu items under supervision.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training.
• 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or lounge.
• Ability to work under pressure within a multicultural team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic hospitality environment.
