Country Representative – Occupied Palestinian Territories (Amman)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Country Representative to lead its Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) mission from Amman, Jordan. The position reports to the Regional Coordinator in Geneva and will be hosted by ACTED, with responsibility for programme delivery, team leadership and strategic engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic leadership for the OPT mission, developing and implementing a forward‑looking Country Strategy aligned with contextual dynamics and organisational priorities.
• Oversee the research, assessments and analysis portfolio, ensuring high‑quality, timely and methodologically sound outputs that meet donor requirements.
• Lead fundraising efforts by identifying funding opportunities, preparing proposals and maintaining constructive relationships with donors.
• Ensure sound financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and proactively manage financial risks.
• Coordinate operational structures, security management and contingency planning in partnership with ACTED and other stakeholders.
• Provide line‑management to senior programme staff, fostering a collaborative and performance‑oriented team culture.
• Represent IMPACT in coordination forums, strengthening engagement with UN agencies, NGOs, donors and research partners to influence humanitarian and development responses.
