Cyber Security Engineer – OT & Industrial Systems

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Engineer to protect and harden operational technology (OT) environments within the oil and gas sector. You will work on complex industrial control systems, ensuring they remain resilient against emerging cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain OT cyber security solutions, including endpoint protection, network segmentation and boundary defenses.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents using OT‑specific IDS and SIEM platforms.
• Validate and enforce authentication and access‑control policies across DCS, SIS, metering and machinery monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into instrument asset management and control system lifecycles.
• Stay current with OT technology trends and ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, NIST and ISO standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control Systems, Industrial Control Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
• Deep understanding of OT environments such as DCS, SIS, metering, machinery monitoring and instrument asset management.
