Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

About the role

The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer will join a dedicated security team in Jordan to protect the organization’s digital assets. This 12‑month position focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents across the enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SOC escalations, coordinate with MSSP partners and lead incident response activities.
• Conduct thorough log analysis and investigations using SIEM, EDR/XDR and other security tools.
• Perform threat detection, hunting and remediation based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Oversee vulnerability management, email security and network‑security technologies to reduce risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, incident response or security engineering.
• Strong understanding of incident investigation, log analysis, threat detection and response.
• Proven experience managing SOC or MSSP escalations and security incidents.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms.
• EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike).
• Email security tools (e.g., Mimecast).
• Vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys).
• Network‑security technologies and Microsoft security solutions.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Scripting/automation using PowerShell and Python.
