Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

About the role

Nexttec Technology is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT teams to ensure data pipelines are reliable, secure, and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components (Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).
• Integrate data from ERP systems (Oracle EBS, Fusion, NetSuite), REST APIs, and external sources, handling pagination, rate limits, and schema changes.
• Implement real‑time streaming and batch ingestion, applying incremental loading techniques such as timestamps, change tracking, and CDC.
• Maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold lakehouse layers, ensuring data is clean, standardized, and analytics‑ready.
• Automate CI/CD workflows for data pipelines and monitor pipeline health, resolving failures promptly.
• Enforce data security and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA), working with cybersecurity teams on backup and disaster recovery.
• Optimize performance and cost of data processes, including query tuning and resource scaling.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating data pipelines in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of data lakehouse architecture and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
