Dean of Master's Program – Media & Journalism

About the role

The institution seeks a highly qualified academic leader to serve as Dean of its Master’s Program in media, journalism, digital communication and related fields. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Dean will shape the strategic direction, ensure academic quality, and strengthen industry and community partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership aligned with national, regional and global developments.
• Oversee design, delivery and quality assurance of all Master’s courses, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
• Lead faculty recruitment, promotion, mentorship and professional development.
• Foster a research‑driven culture, encouraging interdisciplinary projects and securing funding.
• Enhance student success through admissions oversight, outreach and employability initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with media institutions, industry partners, governmental bodies and the wider community.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in higher‑education management and academic leadership.
• Strong academic record in media, journalism, digital communication or related disciplines.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives, faculty and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in Arabic and/or English and familiarity with national and international academic standards.
