Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will report to the Finance Manager and support high‑impact finance management across the MMC Hub. This fixed‑term role ensures donor compliance, risk management and identifies opportunities for service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial transactions across multiple bank accounts and currencies, providing consistent and coherent financial information.
• Assist in financial monitoring, donor reporting and compliance for multiple country programmes.
• Support financial capacity‑building initiatives for partners, fostering trust‑based relationships.
• Collaborate with finance teams in other countries to standardise processes and ensure consistency.

Required profile

• Degree level (or equivalent) and part‑qualified member of a recognised accounting body (CPA, ACCA).
• Significant experience with financial accounting procedures, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to deliver financial training using various methodologies.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; French fluency required for posts in Francophone contexts.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with computerised financial reporting tools.
