Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller acts as the strategic financial leader for the property, aligning financial activities with the brand’s service strategy and business objectives. This role ensures sound financial decision‑making, maximises return on investment, and supports the execution of the property’s overall plan.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial data and market trends to forecast sales, expenses and create annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual performance against forecasts, identify variances and propose corrective actions.
• Develop profit‑improvement initiatives, evaluate cost‑benefit scenarios and explore new business opportunities.
• Maintain a strong accounting control environment, safeguard assets and improve operational profitability.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, communicate strategic goals and hold staff accountable for results.
• Prepare timely financial reports, ensure accurate profit‑and‑loss documentation and support property‑wide financial goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (4‑year) with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience required.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex data.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams.
